Dr. Andres Philip Mayol is an associate professor in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management and a research associate in the Center for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research (CESDR) at De La Salle University.
He was a recipient of the Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) scholarship of the DOST Philippines; The Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (GraSST) of STRIDE – USAID grant at the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department, the University of Arizona for microalgae growth and bioreactor design; and the Magsaysay Future Engineer and Technologist Award by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), DOST Philippines.
His research includes process optimization and integration, algal technology, energy system modeling, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and computational intelligence.
He has published several conference and scientific journal papers in the national and international level, and two patent-pending applications.
